Dear Community Partner,

Student loans are one of the primary ways to fund an education, yet this debt can often have a detrimental effect on the borrower’s finances for the long term.

Join Consumer Action for a two-part train-the-trainer series on student loan debt. The free 90-minute trainings will focus on the disparities in student loan debt and how that debt impacts borrowers over time by lowering credit scores, limiting purchasing power, delaying financial milestones such as buying a home, and compromising retirement security. We will also explore alternatives to student loans, resources for the student borrower, and loan forgiveness programs for indebted students.
