Upcoming events: Elementary Art Showcase, Congressional Art Competition...   Irving, TX – I hope you and your family had an enjoyable Easter weekend! On Tuesday, Team Van Duyne will be at the HEART of Texas College Night at the Grapevine Convention Center. We will be joined by representatives from the U.S. Service Academies. The event is geared toward middle and high school aged homeschoolers. We hope to see you there! Please register for the event here. As a reminder, Wednesday (April 19th) is the deadline to register for our Elementary Art Showcase and Forum, which will take place on Saturday, April 22nd. Wednesday is also the deadline to submit artwork for the Congressional Art Competition, which is open to high school students in our district. The winning artwork will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year. It is an honor to represent North Texas in Congress. I recently spoke with the Fort Worth Report about our delegation’s bipartisan work to deliver solutions and necessary funding for our region. Read more here. I recently gave a tour of the National Statuary Hall (located in the U.S. Capitol) to a group of North Texans. We enjoyed discussing our nation’s history and storied leaders, including the legendary Texan Sam Houston. Our office is always happy to schedule tours for #TX24. Please visit for more information. I appreciate President Biden’s (long overdue) agreement to end the COVID-19 national emergency this week. This was a direct result of having a Republican majority in the House. Texas-24 Work of the Week As we continue to hear of fraud and abuse within our hospice system, I’m holding HHS Secretary Becerra accountable. We are well beyond the time to be patient. We cannot allow fraud to fester in the Medicare program. Texas-24 Hometown Hero Our Texas-24 Hometown Hero is Irving Police Sergeant Ralph Esparza, who works tirelessly to keep our community safe. I want to thank Sgt. Esparza for his bravery, selflessness, and sacrifice. Do you know someone who goes above and beyond for our community? Nominate a Texas-24 Hometown Hero here. Rep.
