John, a flurry of legislation has made the news recently as the Florida legislature creeps further toward the edge of fascism. 
As of late Thursday night, Ron DeSantis signed into law a 6-week abortion ban for the state of Florida. The bill, misnamed as a "Heartbeat Protection Act," contains exceptions for rape and incest, but only until the 15-week mark, and requires a filed police report and documentation. It also outlaws a physician from using a telehealth service to provide medication for an abortion.

This is all on the heels of DeSantis' cross-country tour and his so-called embrace of "freedom" in Florida. That freedom, ironically, does not include the option to read certain books, take certain classes, and now, obtain safe and legal abortions past the 6-week gestational mark. 

If Ron DeSantis is the GOP nominee for President in 2024, this is what we are facing. These are the kinds of laws and restrictions on freedom that we may see come to fruition nationally. We have a thin majority in the Senate, and we have the White House, but we can't keep it without defending it all...can you chip in and help us get a head start on defending the Presidency?
