Support AMP in these final days of Ramadan Dear Email, It's hard to believe, but we have reached the final Jummah of Ramadan. This month was full of so many challenges for the Palestinian people. Every day of this blessed month, Israeli forces found a different way to harm Palestinians. What makes this reality worse is that we know this oppression is funded by U.S. tax dollars against the wishes of a growing number of Americans. When we founded AMP over a decade and a half ago, we did so with a commitment to positively transform the issue of Palestine in the U.S. We achieve this through our educational conferences, campus work, leading political advocacy work, boycott campaigns, and media work. We understood the importance of a strong Palestine movement in the U.S. and we wanted to make sure our community was present and leading this work. In the years since we started, we have seen so many positive changes in Congress, on university campuses around the country, and on Main Street. During this time, AMP has matured into a leading organization based in Washington, D.C., and has 12 chapters from coast to coast. This May, Palestinians and their allies around the world will commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Palestinian Nakba. It has been nearly eight decades since the apartheid State of Israel began its systematic theft of Palestinian land and attempted erasure of the Palestinian people. This injustice is not just a historical event; it is still happening today. The Palestinian Nakba continues with every home that is demolished, every child that is murdered, and every bomb that is dropped on Gaza. But despite 75 years of oppression and ethnic cleansing, the Palestinian people refuse to submit to the oppressive power of their occupier. That is why we are running our expansive #Nakba75 campaign this year. All over the country, AMP and our partners will be hosting educational events, protests, and actions to commemorate the semi-sesquicentennial anniversary. For over a decade and a half, we have been taking the work for Palestine to new heights and frontiers. Join us on this final Friday of Ramadan and help us continue what we started. |
