Gun safety is a public health crisis, and I'm proud to do my part in keeping our families safe.

I led an effort requesting $23 million for School Safety National Activities Project Prevent grants, which are designed to help schools in communities experiencing pervasive violence break that cycle. I also co-sponsored bills from the Enhanced Background Check Act of 2023 to the Assault Weapons Ban of 2023 — and more.

We need effective legislators willing to work to find bipartisan solutions to gun violence, whether that be closing the bump stock loophole, requiring safe storage, or strengthening red flag laws.
