Hello and happy Friday!
It’s the time of year again - calling all high school students from SC-01 to submit their artwork for the Congressional Art Competition before the May 8, 2023 deadline. Please note only electronic submissions will be accepted. Our office has received a tremendous response from students in the past and we anticipate receiving even more submissions this year. If your student is interested please look here for more information.
The RBC Heritage Golf Tournament has kicked off in Hilton Head with a notable lineup, including Jon Rahm who won The Masters just last week. We are looking to see who will emerge as the victor and receive the plaid jacket! At noon tomorrow on the Heritage Lawn there will be a corn hole tournament and a big plaid giveaway to the winner! Look here for more info!
The NIH tried to give grant money to fund animal testing labs in Russia. We recently blocked this measure, ensuring no American money would fund Putin’s animal labs. For more information, read here.
We recently spoke out about national security, specifically regarding the situation with Taiwan. It is important the Administration takes a decisive stance against those who pose a threat to other peaceful nations.
Our office organizes events all across the Lowcountry, and we will be announcing our next Lowcountry Cocktails with your Congresswoman soon. To stay up to date, we will post events to the newsletter but also you can now follow our Eventbrite page by clicking here to get the info in real time.
We are always here to assist you with any issues or concerns. Please feel free to reach out to us.
It is an honor to serve each and every one of you.
Have a great weekend!
Sincerely,
|
