Dear Friend,

Three years into this administration and the rollbacks on environmental protections are not slowing down. In just the last three months, we have seen a proposed rule that weakens protections for communities living near chemical danger zones, another that weakens protections from water pollution produced by coal-fired power plants, and a third that attempts to cut huge numbers of protected waters across the nation out of the safeguards guaranteed by the Clean Water Act.

Now the administration is going after the people’s environmental law, the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). When a government wants to build a toxic waste incinerator in your neighborhood, bulldoze homes to build smog-producing highways, or run pipelines through ancestral Native American lands, NEPA gives you the right to find out and fight back.

Don’t let this administration stifle the people’s environmental voice. Take action today on this and see below for other opportunities to make your voice heard:

The herd is an important to Alaskan Iñupiaq subsistence hunters from the nearby villages of Utqiagvik and Nuiqsut. Says Iñupiaq hunter Jonah Nukapigaq, “Pretty much all of us depend on our caribou.” (Kiliii Yuyan for Earthjustice)
Protect the Western Arctic from oil and gas expansion
The Western Arctic Reserve is the largest tract of wild and undisturbed public land in the United States. Now this administration wants to open up millions of acres to oil and gas development.
