Friend,
It’s officially been 100 days since I was sworn in to represent Illinois’ 17th District in Congress. It’s been a bit of a whirlwind, but very productive, and I wanted to share some stats highlighting the work we’ve done for the people of Central and Northwestern Illinois.

Legislative Accomplishments
So far, I've cast 182 votes in Congress. This includes supporting measures to protect women's right to choose, create sustainable jobs in our district, and lower home energy costs.
I've already cosponsored 29 bills. I'm proud to add my name to good legislation like the PRO Act, which would restore and protect workers' rights to organize in the workplace. I also introduced my own legislation to lower energy costs for working families and block a GOP-led measure that would add a 30% national sales tax on the middle class. |

Constituent Services
Many don't know this, but a huge part of my job includes helping constituents navigate issues they're facing with federal agencies. This includes problems getting passports or securing entitlements like Medicare and veteran benefits.
So far, we've replied directly to over 4,000 Illinoisans who've mailed or called our office with questions about federal policy or issues they face.
Our office has completed 115 constituent cases -- that's more than one case for each day I've been in office!
Local taxpayers have recovered $221,933 in savings thanks to my team's efforts in resolving issues with the IRS. |
It’s been the honor of a lifetime to serve my community in Congress. That's credit to your support for getting me there! And while I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished, there’s a lot more to be done here in Congress. I’m ready to keep fighting for the best interests of Illinois' 17th district and the American people.
With the GOP set on flipping this seat, I'm hoping you can help us celebrate 100 days in office by chipping in $5 or whatever you can to fuel our efforts.

I can't thank you enough,
Eric
