John, this is bad
news.

Politico is reporting that DNC members at an executive committee meeting
were discussing reversing the rule that says superdelegates can’t vote
until the second ballot to stop a progressive candidate from winning the
nomination.

The DNC should let voters decide, not party insiders. That’s the whole
point of the primary and of democracy. In 2016, many people felt like the
DNC did not take a fair approach to handling the primary. We can’t re-open
those wounds again after so much progress has been made to reform the
process.

This is why our work at Justice Democrats is so important. The Democratic
Party won’t change until we usher in a new generation of progressive
leaders.

But the establishment won’t let us upset the status quo without a fight.
That’s why we’re asking for your help tonight, before our end-of-month
deadline.

[ [link removed] ]Can you make a $3 contribution as a way of saying you
don’t want superdelegates deciding our Democratic nominee? All the
proceeds go directly to helping us elect new progressive leaders
nationwide.

Tonight is an important night for fundraising. The numbers we raise will
send a powerful message about the future that grassroots progressives want
for our party. That’s why your contributions are so important.

Thank you for chipping in.
