GLSEN’s Day of Silence is a national, student-centered day of action where LGBTQ+ students and their supporters around the country take collective action in defense and support of LGBTQ+ students.
Historically, folks have taken a vow of silence.
This year, we are refreshing Day of Silence to reflect the collective actions needed in this moment.
With more than 400 anti-LGBTQ+ bills introduced this year alone, we must Rise Up as a collective.
Today we made the call to action different from years past.
Students, who feel safe, and adults are taking a vow of NO silence, committing to speaking up in defense of LGBTQ+ youth in every classroom, every office, every space on- and offline.
