Hi, it’s Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs. Grassroots support helped power my campaign to victory last November, and now I’m reaching out today to ask for your help to keep it up and build our Democratic power down-ballot. But first, will you chip in $10 or more to support the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee’s work to expand Democratic power in state legislatures in places like Arizona and across the country?

Throughout this legislative session in Arizona, only 24 Democratic bills have made it to a vote, while Republicans have put up more than 300 Republican bills to a vote. It doesn’t have to be this way: Republicans only hold a narrow two-seat majority in both the Arizona House and Senate – that’s right, Democrats only need to flip two seats to gain control.

I’m a firm believer in the idea that government only works well if it’s led well – and Democrats are the leaders we need at this moment.

As abortion access, voting rights, and gun safety are left up to the states, Democrats are delivering for their constituents – passing compassionate, progressive legislation that aims to improve the lives of those they represent. Meanwhile, Republicans have set their sights on passing reductive bills that target the LGBTQ+ community and strip people of their right to reproductive care.

That’s why I’m calling on you to support the DLCC today – with the help of grassroots supporters like you, we can expand Democratic power, protect our progress, and elect leaders who will fight for our Democratic values in states like Arizona and across the country. With more Democrats serving in Arizona’s state legislature, I won’t be limited to defending Arizonans against Republican attacks on abortion access, voting rights, and the LGBTQ+ community. I’ll be able to work with lawmakers to pass our Democratic agenda and create opportunity for all – regardless of zip code, gender, race, or ability.
