Severe Weather Awareness Week
For more than 35 years, the state of Minnesota has conducted?Severe Weather Awareness Week?in partnership with the National Weather Service and local government agencies.
This year, Severe Weather Awareness Week will take place?April 17?21, with a statewide tornado drill?Thursday, April 20?at 1:45 and 6:45 p.m.?

Street Sweeping
To prevent sediment from entering the City?s storm drains, street sweeping is conducted each year in the Spring.?
This year, street sweeping will begin Monday, April 17 and continue for about a week.
You can help by moving vehicles from the street and keeping trash cans behind the curb line.?Remember, it is illegal to place yard waste and debris onto City streets.

Zoning Code Update
Zoning is the City?s primary tool for regulating land use and implementing the goals and policies of the city's Comprehensive Plan. The City is updating?the Zoning Ordinance to be consistent with the 2040 Comprehensive Plan.?

Community Foundation Accepting Grant Applications
The Mendota Heights Community Foundation is now accepting applications for its first community grant, offering up to $3,000 for ?The Best Idea? to enhance life in our City.
Applications must be received by May 1.
