Dear John,

As we grab our calculators and get ready to file our taxes, let’s think about the billionaires that benefit from the loopholes in our tax system. That’s why we need to tax the patriarchy. This means taxing wealthy individuals and corporations their fair share so the tax code works better for everyone, especially women and people of color.

Tax Day is marked on our calendars every year, but we can’t forget the inequity of the tax system as a whole. If billionaires paid their fair share of taxes, this revenue could go towards things like care infrastructure, accessible and affordable housing, and more. We need to make sure everyone understands that taxing the rich is a fight for gender and racial justice. Read more in our brief [[link removed]] .

You can also check out our interactive choose your own adventure game [[link removed]] on how to tax the patriarchy. Our Tax the Patriarchy game highlights what it would look like to use the money from taxing the extreme wealth of billionaires to support public investments for women and families—like child care, aging and disability care, and paid family and medical leave.

This Tuesday, April 18, is Tax Day. Today we ask you to support our advocacy to tax the rich and share what our world could look like if we did.

Join us and show us how you would tax the patriarchy. [[link removed]]
