A federal appeals court announced it would allow partial access to mifepristone, the abortion pill that Judge Matthew J. Kacsmaryk of the Northern District of Texas banned the sale of last week.

U.S. removes a derogatory slur from historic locations

After a year-long process, the U.S. government has renamed five geographic locations that previously included a derogatory slur for Native women. The slur, 'squaw,' has been used as a racist and sexist term and is intimately linked with a legacy of oppression and misogyny.

EPA proposes ambitious emission-cutting plan for auto industry

The EPA is proposing a new set of regulations to impose penalties on companies that do not move quickly enough toward electric vehicles. Many are saying this is one of the EPA’s most ambitious proposals for reducing vehicle emissions, and the agency hopes it will transform the entire auto industry.
