Colorado’s Abortion Lobby is Taking Away a Woman’s Right to Choose Life for Her Baby

By: Nicole Hunt

Any day now, Colorado is expected to formally take away a woman’s right to choose life for her preborn baby.

When that happens, Colorado will become the only state in the nation to restrict abortion pill reversal as a treatment for women who wish to save their babies after they start a chemical abortion.

Colorado is a test case, and women everywhere should be warned. The abortion lobby does not care about your right to choose life for your baby. They are not pro-choice. The only acceptable choice, in their view, is abortion.

My Big Pharma Father Would Be Appalled at Companies Championing Death Over Life

By: Paul Batura

In the weeks leading up to my father’s death back in April of 2017, I would sit with him and chat in the evenings after dinner, wondering each night if the conversation would be our last. By then he was frail, nearly 86, and suffering from congestive heart failure. He was praying each day for the Lord to take him home, and reluctantly, so was I.

Memories and family history were a common topic of discussion. My dad had lived a wonderful life — happily married for 57 years, five children, thirteen grandchildren, and even a great grandchild born just a few months earlier. Like many men, especially, my father had taken great pride in his work. I asked one evening if he had any regrets, had he wished he had done something else? His response made me smile and even chuckle.

“I grew up and my dream came true,” he told me. “Ever since I was youngster, I wanted to be a purchasing agent for Pfizer, and I got to do just that.”

Boys dream of playing centerfield for the New York Yankees or starring in a Hollywood blockbuster film. My dad wanted to be a purchasing agent. I asked him why.

As it was, my dad grew up in the borough of Brooklyn, across the East River in Manhattan. At the time of his childhood, Brooklyn was a gritty and glorious part of New York, full of ambitious citizens, immigrants, and dreamers eager to solve problems and make the world a better place.

Pro-Life Victory: Federal Judge Blocks FDA’s Approval of Abortion Pill

By: Zachary Mettler

In a massive victory for the pro-life movement, a federal judge has blocked the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA’s) approval of mifepristone, one of the two drugs used in a chemical abortion. In the ruling, handed down late on Good Friday, April 7, 2023, U.S. District Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk stayed the FDA’s Sept. 28, 2000, approval of mifepristone. The lawsuit against the FDA was filed by attorneys with Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) on behalf of four medical groups and four doctors, who allege that the FDA violated the law when it originally approved mifepristone. According to ADF, the lawsuit is “the first to challenge federal government officials for their illegal approval of chemical abortions drugs that harm women and girls.”

Now, you may be wondering why it took nearly 23 years (the lawsuit was initially filed in November 2022) for a group to challenge the FDA’s approval of mifepristone. Judge Kacsmaryk addressed that question in the first page of his 67-page ruling. He wrote: “Over twenty years ago, the United States Food and Drug Administration approved chemical abortion … Why did it take two decades for judicial review in federal court?

“Simply put, FDA stonewalled judicial review — until now. Before Plaintiffs filed this case, FDA ignored their petitions for over sixteen years, even though the law requires an agency response within ‘180 days of receipt of the petition.’ … Had FDA responded to the Plaintiffs’ petitions within the 360 total days allotted, this case would have been in federal court decades earlier. Instead, FDA postponed and procrastinate for nearly 6,000 days (emphasis in original).”

Bob Beaudine’s 3 Comforting Questions for Christians Weary in an Upside-Down, Inside-Out Wicked World

By: Paul Batura

Sports Illustrated once called Bob Beaudine “The most influential man in sports you’ve never heard of.”

I first heard of Bob on a lovely, cool Georgia evening one fall, sitting around a fire pit with several Christian leaders at a conference. The subject turned to discerning God’s plan for your life. A gentleman who worked with the Zig Ziglar organization asked if we were familiar with Bob Beaudine’s book, Two Chairs: The Secret that Changes Everything.

In addition to being an author, Bob is the president and CEO of Eastman & Beaudine, an executive search firm. He specializes in hiring for professional sports teams and has helped place the commissioner of Major League Baseball, along with dozens of head coaches on both the collegiate and professional levels.

The premise of Two Chairs is that Christians have the wonderful advantage of sitting down each and every day and talking with the Creator of the universe. Bob suggests finding two comfortable chairs and leaving the second one empty, envisioning God Himself sitting across from you.

But while the premise of Two Chairs is personally focused, the three questions Bob poses in the book have great applicability to the current frustrations Christians, especially, face in the world.

Does God know your situation?

Swimmer Riley Gaines Assaulted by ‘Transgender’ Activists — Vows to Continue Speaking Out to Protect Women’s Sports

By: Jeff Johnston

Riley Gaines is one of the most decorated athletes in the University of Kentucky swimming program’s history, where she is a 12-time All-American Swimmer.

Last week, while speaking at a Turning Point USA event at San Francisco State University (SFSU), she was mobbed, verbally and physically attacked, and held captive in a room for three hours by angry transgender activists and their allies.

Gaines is a Stand with Women spokesperson for the Independent Women’s Forum. She was at SFSU to talk about how men, claiming to be women, are taking opportunities and victories from women, as well as threatening their privacy and safety.

She writes about the harrowing event, beginning with her talk with students:

“Inside the room I was heckled, interrupted, and insulted. But while this was disappointing, the protesters were basically peaceful — that is, until the moment my speech ended.

After I finished fielding questions, a group from outside the room swarmed in, turned off the lights, and pushed toward me at the front of the room. I was backed up against the podium. I was cornered and increasingly nervous.

A man wearing women’s clothing intentionally hit me — twice. The first blow landed on my shoulder. The second one glanced off my shoulder and hit me in the face.”
