Dear MoveOn member,

Giving Trump four more years in the White House would cause lasting damage
to our democracy and communities across the country—but a dark-money
organization named "No Labels" has a $70 million plan that could give him
another term.^1 No Labels has used its contributions from deep-pocketed
millionaires and billionaires to launch a 50-state campaign for a
third-party “unity ticket” for the White House. They have already paid
petition teams to gain a ballot line in four states and are targeting
anti-Trump voters in both deep-blue and battleground states who were
critical to our coalition to defeat him.

[ [link removed] ]The No Labels third-party presidential ticket, a so-called “insurance
policy,” can’t win, but it could tip the scales in Trump's favor.
Americans know from experience that you can have an impact on the
presidential election without winning a single state. Just 537 votes
separated George W. Bush and Al Gore in Florida in the 2000 presidential
election; the third party Ralph Nader won over 97,000 votes that year.
Twenty years later, Donald Trump came within 3 points of winning six key
battleground states: Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and
Wisconsin. Even a paltry third-party performance from No Labels could put
79 Democratic electoral votes at risk, determining control of the White
House. That’s a risk that we cannot take.

Add your name to our petition calling on No Labels to stand down and stop
helping Trump win. A third-party ticket would divide the anti-Trump
coalition, clearing his path to the White House when he is at his most
dangerous.

No Labels justifies this dangerous third-party plan by parroting
Republican talking points that all Democrats are extremists, willfully
ignoring a proven track record of progress on infrastructure, climate, gun
safety, marriage equality, and much more. Democrats got bipartisan support
for multiple major laws and delivered mainstream victories when
Republicans weren’t willing to come together. But No Labels could be
handing power to Trump and the MAGA GOP—actual election-denying, January
6-defending, abortion-restricting, democracy-destroying extremists.

We’re joining with individuals across the political spectrum in speaking
out about this dangerous No Labels plan. Keeping Donald Trump far from the
White House is imperative to protect the progress we’ve made these last
two years and defending our democracy.

No Labels must stand down. Join us in calling out this vain and dangerous
ploy. #NoLabelsElectsTrump
