Workplace Safety: RMG Sector Saw Progress but Still Not Enough
AKM Nasim, country program director at the Solidarity Center, stressed the need for amending labor laws to accommodate the demands of RMG workers.

Workers Safety, Rights Key to Building Smart Bangladesh: U.S.
Solidarity Center Country Program Director AKM Nasim said that safety committees were supposed to be formed for factories to promote workers’ representation but it did not happen in reality. "A process of labor law reformation is going on. In our country’s perspective, if solid laws don’t exist, nothing can be implemented," he added. Further coverage of the event can be found here.
