Fifth Circuit Partially Sides with Pro-Life Doctors in Abortion Drug Ruling |

On Wednesday, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit sided in part with the Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine, a group of pro-life physicians being represented by Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), in a lawsuit seeking to revoke Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval of the chemical abortion drug regimen. The Fifth Circuit ruling comes in response to the FDA's appeal of a ruling from a Texas federal judge who sided with the plaintiffs against the FDA. |

Society-Wide Lack of Restraint a Cause of Mass Shootings: Mohler |

Only two weeks after the Covenant School shooting in Nashville, another mass murderer killed six people and wounded nine at a shooting at Old National Bank in Louisville, Ky. The incident was "absolutely horrifying and frightening," Dr. Al Mohler, president of Southern Theological Seminary in Louisville, said on "Washington Watch," but that should make it a call to action for Christians. |

House Republicans Probe into FBI Effort to Recruit Informants in Catholic Churches |

On Monday, Representative Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) issued a subpoena to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to demand information about the Richmond FBI field office's reconnaissance efforts targeting Catholic churches. The letter, addressed to FBI Director Christopher Wray, was aimed at providing congressional oversight to the FBI's investigation into "Catholic Americans and its affect on protected First Amendment activity." There is clearly more to the story here, and Jordan's efforts to uncover the truth are critical. |

Reading some news stories will leave you less informed than if you hadn't. Politico Magazine ran such a piece last week, which began with this whopper, "Tennessee Republicans really went there. Despite the outcry, the GOP-controlled state legislature expelled two Democrats Thursday for engaging in a boisterous protest against gun violence." |
