It’s great to e-meet you, Friend! My name is Birk Wilkison, and I am the newly appointed Interim Executive Director of the Texas Democratic Party.
As the new Interim Executive Director, I’m honored to continue the work started by the giants who have come before me. Our party’s legacy is one of hope, progress, and the enduring belief that, as Texans, we have the collective power to shape a brighter, bluer future for our great state.
My upbringing has made me proud to be a Texas Democrat. I was reared in rural Williamson County -- where our public schools were the lifeblood of our local economy, and were a safe refuge for children and educators alike. But, how things have changed since I was a kid! Our Republican opponents are working overtime in the Texas Capitol to make our schools less credible and more dangerous.
