We Need Congressional Oversight Now!
District Attorney Alan Brag has turned our legal system into a Kremlin style political weapon against a 2024 presidential candidate and is violating federal election interference laws.
Manhattan District Attorney Alan Bragg must be brought under full Congressional Oversight, investigating his politically motivated abuse of prosecutorial powers with the clear intent to interfere with the 2024 Presidential Race.
As stated by Representative Jim Jordan in an official letter to DA Bragg, DA Bragg is engaging in an unprecedented abuse of prosecutorial authority: the indictment of a former President of the United States and current declared candidate for that office. This indictment comes after years of his office searching for a basis—any basis—on which to bring charges, ultimately settling on a novel legal theory untested anywhere in the country and one that federal authorities declined to pursue.
The facts of this matter have not changed since 2018 and no new witnesses have emerged. The Justice Department examined the facts in 2019 and opted not to pursue further prosecutions at that time.
The New York County District Attorney’s Office has been investigating President Trump since at least 2018, looking for some legal theory on which to bring charges. The facts surrounding the impending indictment have “been known for years.”
DA Bragg’s actions are creating a profound distrust and eroding confidence in the evenhanded application of justice.
If DA Bragg is permitted to continue his political theater and weaponize the justice system in Manhattan, this could have an inalterable and unfair impact on Trumps 2024 presidential campaign.
If DA Bragg is permitted to follow through, without intervention or accountability, DA’s across the nation will begin to target and trump up bogus lawsuits against opposition party candidates in a new form of election interference under the guise of justice.
Restore faith in our justice system and congressional oversight committees.
Bring this case under federal oversight and authority and investigate DA Alan Bragg for prosecutorial misconduct and the federal offense of election interference with intent to deceive qualified voters regarding these false charges against a front runner presidential candidate and former President of the United States. If Alan Bragg is found guilty, he must be disbarred and removed from office immediately. Do not let this case drag on one day longer without reigning in this disgraced DA!
