G'day John,
Welcome to the first edition of Tam's Takes!
Heaps of emails from politicians are really boring so I wanted to see if there's a way we can make it a little more interesting. Sooo, I asked for people on social media to ask me a few questions. I've included a couple here.
Have you got a question about something? Maybe it's a bill in Parliament, or a story in the news, or just if I'm more of a 'potato scallop' or a 'potato cake' type gal.
I'm keen for politicians to actually communicate with people, instead of just communicating to people. So I want to hear from you! If you've got feedback, or ideas, let's chat. You can email me at [email protected].
Here's a bit of a taster.
Pineapple on pizza?
— Margaret (via email)
I actually don't mind it. Depends on the pizza though. Red Grasshopper Pizza in Ulvie? My goodness. Get the power pack, with everything on it. But if it's somewhere a bit more gourmet, naaa.
What's it like working with Jacqui?
— Siobhan (via email)
It's never the same day twice! She's exciting, she's frustrating, she's amazing. She's everything you expect, and some things you wouldn't. I wouldn't change any of it though. She kicks butt.
Do you think Labor's going to win the next Tasmanian state election?
— Derek (via email)
Will it become a red nation? They've had some struggles over recent years here in Tassie. But the Liberals have been in for a while too, and they say change is as good as a holiday. So we'll see. And this might be controversial but I don't know if it's necessarily a good thing for the whole of Australia to be governed by one party, of either side.
