I’m not sure if you've seen the news yet, but Florida’s legislature just passed a near-total abortion ban – and their Governor is expected to sign the ban into law any day now.

What happened in Florida today is undemocratic, anti-science, dangerous, and downright scary. It’s not reflective of the future we should be working toward.

And I want to make one thing crystal clear: What just happened in Florida will not happen here in Arizona.

I promised it back during the campaign season, and I’ll promise it again to you now – I will never sign any legislation into law that threatens our reproductive rights.

As scary as it is to see other states pass anti-choice legislation, rest assured that I will always fight to protect Arizonans’ fundamental rights.
