Virginia Democrats won several huge victories in special elections (including flipping a tossup State Senate district from red to blue).
Republicans tried — and failed — to pass a set of extreme bills on abortion and LGBTQ+ rights during the legislative session.
And our campaign for an open Senate seat (one Democrats must win to maintain their narrow majority) continues to rack up endorsements. This week, our latest supporters include folks from labor, a Latina community leader, and the former president of EMILY's List — an organization dedicated to electing pro-choice women to office.
Momentum is on our side, John. But if we are going to win our primary (which polls show remains very competitive) we have to meet our next fundraising goal tomorrow night. Falling short — even by a few dollars — would mean having to pull back on our field outreach just when voters are starting to really pay attention.
