Republicans in the North Carolina State Legislature have filed a bill to make abortion a felony. It would criminalize a woman for making a decision about her own body.

This is a dangerous piece of legislation, but unfortunately, it’s not the first or last time we’ll see the extreme GOP attempt to roll back women’s rights. Wiley will fight to protect the right to an abortion in Congress, and he’ll stand up against legislation that threatens reproductive freedom.

This bill wouldn’t just affect North Carolinians. Since Roe v. Wade was overturned, North Carolina is one of the few states in the Southeast that still has legal abortions.
