Important updates—
Last night, a federal court largely refused to block an order that would revoke the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) approval of mifepristone —one of two drugs used in medication abortion.
We cannot let them turn back the clock on reproductive health care. [[link removed]]
This decision will unleash chaos. It attempts to reinstate burdensome restrictions for patients and providers, and it is wrong on the facts, and wrong on the law. Limiting access to mifepristone will delay and outright deny people's access to abortion while exacerbating confusion for patients and providers.
Every time the anti-abortion movement tries to strip away our fundamental human rights, we fight back.
Add your name: Medication abortion should not be restricted
Mifepristone was approved by the FDA in 2000 and since that time, medication abortion has been used by nearly 5 million people across the country. This decision could significantly limit access to a SAFE and EFFECTIVE medicine that currently accounts for over half of all abortion care in the U.S.
