In November 2022, the people of Huntington Beach shocked the political world by electing a slate of four community-first, conservative candidates, flipping a 5-2 Democrat majority city council to a 4-3 solid Republican majority. Since the election, the new council majority has gone full steam ahead on fulfilling campaign promises and returning Huntington Beach back into the hands of the people. OCYR Chair Emeritus, Robert Petrosyan serves as a Committee Member of the Irvine Children, Youth, and Families Advisory Committee, appointed by Councilmember Mike Carroll. To combat this, Senator Janet Nguyen and the Surfrider Foundation of North Orange County are hosting a river channel cleanup. Part of our mission as Orange County Young Republicans is to dig deeper, and engage our community beyond just politics. Let's serve!
