Friend, just days before the horrific mass shooting in Kentucky, Ted Cruz once again tweeted out a load of BS about how we can avoid more mass shootings in this country. State Senator Roland Gutierrez, who represents Uvalde, had this to say about Cruz’s out-of-touch statement:

Senator Gutierrez is right. Armed guards couldn't stop the Louisville shooter. Armed guards couldn’t stop the Buffalo shooter. And armed guards -- our very own state troopers -- couldn’t stop the Uvalde shooter. friend, we all know that introducing even more guns to school campuses won’t address the real cause of these shootings: the unfettered proliferation of assault weapons.
Instead of using his power to fix the problem, Ted Cruz is choosing to cater to far-right extremists and line his pockets with dark NRA money at the expense of our kids’ lives.
That’s why we need your support, friend. We’re laying the groundwork now to boot Ted next year and fight back against his absurd and dangerous rhetoric. Will you rush a $3 contribution to show that you’re in the fight to take back our Senate seat? [[link removed]]

Friend, we’re going to send Ted Cruz packing in 2024. Texans like you deserve better, and it’s time we elect a real leader. One who reflects the values of the vast majority of Texans -- like ensuring our kids stay safe, and the need for common-sense gun safety regulations.
Let’s kick Ted Cruz out of this seat.
Foot on the gas,
