I wanted to be sure you saw the news. On Tuesday, your Americans United for Life team filed a friend-of-the-court brief on behalf of 69 Members of the U.S. Congress in support of ending FDA approval of the abortion pill mifepristone.

The brief urged the Fifth Circuit to deny the Department of Justice’s emergency request to block a prior court’s suspension of the Food and Drug Administration’s approval of chemical abortion drugs. This ruling, announced in 2000, has been scheduled to go into effect this Friday. The district court’s ruling will protect the health and safety of American women and girls from the dangers of the abortion pill.

At AUL, we are not backing down. Filing this brief is a big win for young women, innocent human life, and for the pro-life movement! We are fighting the illegality of this decision, the results of which will save an untold number of lives.
