Dear John, This is a breaking update on the Immigration Reform Law Institute’s (IRLI) lawsuit to combat the assault on our voting rights through illegal immigration!
Washington, D.C.’s sanctuary Mayor Muriel Bowser AND the city’s Board of Elections were served with papers this week as part of our lawsuit to strike down the city’s new voting law.
As you may have heard, our nation’s capital wants to allow anyone living in the city -- for only 30 days! -- the right to vote in local elections. That includes foreign nationals and illegal aliens. This is the most radical giveaway of voting privileges in the nation.
The right to vote is precious and reserved for citizens only. If this law is allowed to stand, it will be copied in other communities, and possibly yours. This is a threat to the voting rights of all Americans!
IRLI is the only group suing Washington, D.C. to stop this law. But to reach our goals, we need the help of all Americans who don’t want to explain to their children someday how their right to vote was given away because we didn’t act in time. |
