I know it’s late, so I’ll make this as quick as I can.

As you may have heard, we recently got another opponent in our race, and my team has been raising the stakes on our fundraising goals.

Now I have to be honest with you: we’re behind.

With the Congressional August district work period at hand, I spent much of July working in Washington, and not much time fundraising. I wanted to keep my focus on moving legislation forward and doing the job you sent me to do before the House broke for a while.

Unfortunately for my campaign team, that meant less time fundraising.
