Hi John — I'm about to ask you to split a donation between my campaign and Rep. Summer Lee, my colleague in Congress, so we can keep fighting against the NRA. But first, I'll tell you why it's so important:
I wanted to write to you today because tomorrow is the first day of the NRA's annual convention, and my home state governor, Ron DeSantis, and Donald Trump are both scheduled speakers.
The NRA pours millions of dollars into attacks every year to crush our movement for common-sense gun reform while their cronies in Congress sit by and watch gun violence steal the lives of our loved ones. No more.
Summer and I are both fighting to get money out of politics, take on the NRA, and end gun violence. If you're with us, will you split a $27 donation between our two campaigns today?
I've been fighting for my community since I was 15 years old, when I became an advocate for ending gun violence following the Sandy Hook shooting. And after 17 lives were senselessly taken from us at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, I became the Organizing Director at March for Our Lives.
Florida Governor DeSantis is abusing his power, using the state to target and silence political opponents. Just weeks ago, he signed into law legislation in Florida allowing for permitless carry — a dangerous decision that will lead to lives lost, all to appease the NRA and extreme factions of his party.
Like Summer recently said, over 145 mass shootings since this year started is not normal. It's disgraceful, and it doesn't have to be this way. And if you care more about guns than kids, we're coming after you.
No matter what the NRA throws at us, Summer and I have something the gun lobby will never have — a grassroots movement made up of everyday supporters like you.
Please, if you're with us in our movement to end gun violence, will you split a $27 donation today? Together, we will take on the NRA and save lives.
Thank you,
Maxwell Alejandro Frost
