APRIL 2023

As we continue to foster an environment where everyone can thrive, we are proud to work with our partners to raise awareness of the most pressing social issues of our time. From our work with the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy to educate the public on the life-saving benefits of Naloxone in opioid-related incidents, to our partnership with NASCAR and the Alzheimer’s Association on the importance of early detection of Alzheimer’s disease – we are expanding the national conversation on health. From our collaboration with Amazon to deliver an interactive experience to navigate mental health conversations with teens, to working alongside local heroes creating lasting impact within their communities – we are finding innovative ways to connect, inform and inspire. A Partnership with the White House to Continue to Address Opioid Crisis

Last week, we launched the next phase of our holistic approach to address the opioid crisis. This effort, in partnership with the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy, builds on our existing Real Deal on Fentanyl platform to highlight the importance of carrying Naloxone – a medicine used to reverse opioid overdoses. In a recent NBC Nightly News exclusive, social influencers joined us to spread awareness and empower young adults to take action against the dangers of fentanyl. The rise in opioid-related deaths in the U.S. continues to be one of the most pressing issues facing American youth today. By arming them with critical information about Naloxone, young adults will be prepared to take action to save the life of a family member, a friend or another person in need.

New PSA Featuring NASCAR’s Ryan Blaney Promotes Early Alzheimer’s Detection

There are currently six million Americans living with Alzheimer’s, yet only about half have been diagnosed – a diagnosis which often happens in the later stages of the disease. To promote the importance of early detection, we partnered with the Alzheimer's Association and NASCAR to raise awareness through a new powerful PSA. The spot features NASCAR driver Ryan Blaney delivering a personal message about his family's experience with Alzheimer's following his Grandpa Lou's diagnosis.

Amazon Partnership Uses Music and Technology to Support Emotional Wellness in Teens

As we deepen our commitment to address mental health and wellness among our most vulnerable communities, we are proud to partner with Amazon to launch “When You Can’t Say It, Play It” – an interactive, first-of-its-kind experience to help parents and caregivers navigate difficult conversations with teens through music. Offered in both English and Spanish, the tool allows parents to leverage Amazon Music’s library to curate playlists for their teens based on a range of emotions. Our collaboration with Amazon helps raise awareness and normalize mental health conversations with teens. Community Changemakers Celebrated for Lasting Social Impact Work

Each year, at our Annual Public Service Award Dinner, we not only celebrate the leaders and organizations that make our social impact campaigns possible – but the dedicated community leaders across the country who work with us to inspire change at the local level. We had the privilege to honor five of those changemakers at our last Annual Dinner. Their stories of impact highlight the power of community voices as a tool to create lasting change and remind us that when presented with a moment of decision-making, we each have the power to act. We invite you to learn more about their journey as they share their hopes, motivations and tips to inspire others to meet the moment.
