Dear friends of the Fund, Plus, there are still tickets available to see two brand new productions, as well as a chance to hear a living legend tell her stories. Thank you for your unwavering support, and we hope to see you soon.
Entertainment Community Fund 2023 Gala Marriott Marquis Join us in celebration of our inaugural gala as the Entertainment Community Fund! We gather to strengthen the performing arts and entertainment community across the nation and to celebrate honorees who represent those we serve including entertainment professionals working in film, television, theater, music and dance. This year's celebration will bestow the Medal of Honor upon distinguished philanthropist Glorya Kaufman; Head of Orion Pictures, film executive and producer Alana Mayo; Tony and Olivier Award-winning producer, activist and President of Tom Kirdahy Productions Tom Kirdahy; and actor, director, screenwriter, producer, playwright, author, philanthropist and Founder of Tyler Perry Studios Tyler Perry.
Good Night, Oscar Producer's Picks Belasco Theatre See top-notch theater and feel good about helping others! Producer’s Picks tickets are donated by the producers so your entire ticket purchase goes to support the Entertainment Community Fund’s programs and services. Sean Hayes returns to Broadway this spring starring in Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Doug Wright’s new play, Good Night, Oscar, directed by Lisa Peterson, at the Belasco Theatre. Hayes plays Oscar Levant: Hollywood actor, concert pianist and the most subversive wit ever to appear on television during its Golden Age.
Bob Fosse's Dancin' Producer's Picks Music Box Theatre Join us for Bob Fosse’s Dancin’, which celebrates Fosse’s influential style and features some of his most inventive and seldom performed choreography. The show has been reimagined for the 21st century by Tony Award winner Wayne Cilento, one of the stars of the original Broadway production, and produced in cooperation with Bob's daughter Nicole Fosse. You think you’ve seen dancing, but you’ve never seen Dancin’ like this! All proceeds from our ticket sales will benefit Career Transition For Dancers and its companion program, The Dancers' Resource, two important Entertainment Community Fund programs providing support to dancers in all stages of their careers.
Chita Rivera in Conversation with Nathan Lane The Temple Emanu-El Streicker Center The legendary Chita Rivera, who has dazzled us since her Broadway debut in 1953, now reveals her irreverent self in her new book Chita: A Memoir and opens up about spending decades in the company of Jerome Robbins, Hal Prince, Bob Fosse, Leonard Bernstein and more. Join Nathan Lane as he discusses with Chita her rise as a non-white leading lady and how, at the age of 90, she continues to dwell in a place of continual motion and joy. For your convenience, you have the option to attend this event either in person or virtually, plus you get a copy of Chita’s new book! Please select one of the two Entertainment Community Fund titled ticket options when making your reservation, and $5 from your purchase will be donated to the Fund.
