Late last week, a GOP-appointed federal judge in Texas blocked the FDA's
approval of mifepristone, a safe, effective, and essential medication for
abortion care that has been in use for more than 20 years.

Abortion access can already be a matter of life and death — we need
leaders nationwide willing to stand up and fight to make sure abortion
medication remains available.

Mifepristone is used by millions of people for abortion care each year. If
the decision is allowed to take effect, access to abortion care will be
severely compromised in every state across the country — a move that could
have devastating consequences on millions of people's lives.

For decades, the extremist movement fighting to take away our reproductive
rights labeled themselves "pro-life." But when push comes to shove, all
they want is to control our bodies — they’re even willing to put our lives
at stake.
