Hi, John, it’s Brandon Johnson. I’m a teacher, organizer, and public servant — and in just a few weeks, I’ll be sworn in as the Mayor of Chicago.
My team and I are excited to get to work to build a stronger Chicago for everyone. But first, John, I wanted to take a moment to say thank you.
United Working Families members in Chicago and Working Families Party supporters nationwide were crucial to building the multiracial progressive movement we needed to win this election.
Whether you donated to fund our grassroots campaign, volunteered to reach voters about our vision for the city, or shared your support within your circles, your help made the difference.
Together, we beat back MAGA extremists and special interests that outspent us 2 to 1, and showed the world the power of hope, the strength of organizing, and the might of our collective voice.
The election may be over, but this is just the beginning. If you want to make sure we can keep building a Chicago for the many — and replicate victories like mine across the country — I’m asking you to make a split donation to my campaign and the Working Families Party today:

John, with our voices and our votes, last week we ushered in a new chapter in the history of the city of Chicago.
A city where you can thrive regardless of who you love, or how much money you have in your bank account.
A city that’s truly safer for everyone, by investing in what actually works to prevent crime — youth employment and mental health centers and ensuring law enforcement has the resources to solve and prevent crimes.
A city that respects the workers who keep it running, and supports the entrepreneurs that keep it growing.
A city where the trains run on time, and where no one is too poor to live in one of the richest cities in the richest country in the history of the world.
A city where public schools have the resources to meet the needs of every child across our city.
In other words, it’s the beginning of a Chicago that truly invests in the people.
I’m so humbled by all we have accomplished and all we have yet to do in the months and years to come. But we know that MAGA Republicans and corporate interests aren’t going to make any of it easy.
Split a donation between my campaign and the Working Families Party today so that we can continue growing our movement together — and to make sure that we have the resources to face whatever comes our way.
