Welcome to part two of our three favorite podcasts from Kelly Corrigan’s series on the point of college. This episode features a conversation with the President of Montana State University, Dr. Waded Cruzado.

A first generation college student herself, Waded moved from Puerto Rico to, of all places, Bozeman, Montana. Waded, regarded in heroic terms at her university, shares her metaphor for the ideal university experience —one that’s less of a conveyor belt where imperfections are weeded out, and more of a combustible engine that leverages everyone’s talents.

Dr. Cruzado and Kelly discuss the dynamics of not asking for less and less, but asking, firmly, for more. More commitment, more focus, and the results that come when students show up for themselves.

Stay tuned for the story of one the most engaging moments in Cruzado’s memory: when students and custodians came together in a most unusual moment.

We invite you to listen to this inspiring episode with Kelly and Dr. Cruzado and tojoin us on April 26 ([link removed]) to continue the conversation with Kelly and Challenge Success Co-Founder, Denise Pope, Ph.D.
