Hey John,
A little over six years ago, we launched Run for Something with a bold vision: Build lasting, sustainable progressive power by electing diverse young progressives at the state and local levels.
But a vision is nothing without a plan. In living our values of transparency and accountability, we lay ours out on the table every year.
We won't keep you waiting. Check out our 2023 Strategic Plan and get hyped about the political power we're going to build together.
We're playing hard and we're playing to win because — again — 2023 is not an off-year.
In fact, there will be more offices up for election in 2023 than there were in 2022, including 23,357 school board seats.
That's why we're going to endorse 650 candidates in 2023 – double our last odd-numbered-year goal in 2021.
We're prioritizing school boards, city councils, election administration positions, and other hyper-local offices across the country to build real power from the ground up.
We've already endorsed 143 candidates running in 2023, and there are hundreds more on the way. These folks are diverse young progressives who look, act, and live like the communities they represent. Our goal is to endorse:
- 51% women candidates
- 51% candidates of color
- 20% LGBTQIA+ candidates
- 20% Latinx candidates
- 20% Black candidates
- 10% AAPI candidates
We've got our work cut out for us, but we've built this movement together and we’re in it for the long haul. That's why we're going to win.
John, this is just a plan without you. If building progressive power from the ground up and saving democracy is important to you, chip in
$5
and let's get it done together.
