Ruth’s List Florida is excited to announce our latest endorsement, Joyce Morgan in the May 16th runoff for Duval County Property Appraiser, If elected, she would be the first African American and first woman ever to serve in this position.
Joyce is a long-time resident of Jacksonville and a Ruth’s List alumna, who currently represents District 1 on the Jacksonville City Council. She has served on every standing committee on the council with distinction over her past two terms and has been actively involved in Duval, serving on PTAs, school advisory committees and non-profit organizations. Her work with the North Florida Transportation Planning Organization gives her insight on the challenges facing her local community and the need for effective voices leading Duval County.
