John,

Anti-abortion zealots need to be stopped. Now. Donate to stand up and halt their push towards fetal personhood.

By now, you’ve likely heard about the ruling from Texas asking for a hold on the Food and Drug Administration’s approval of mifepristone – a drug with a more than 20-year record of safety and efficacy. But what you may not have heard of is the anti-abortion language baked into the decision.

The language Judge Kacsmaryk used clearly shows an anti-abortion extremist ideology, betraying the expectation that our judges formulate nonbiased judgements. Using stigmatizing and non-medical terms like ‘chemical abortion’ and ‘unborn human,’ he repeated anti-abortion talking points [1] and made reference to false claims that women who abort a child experience shame, regret, anxiety, depression drug abuse, and suicidal thoughts [2] – claims that have been thoroughly debunked by numerous studies overwhemingly proving the most common emotion experienced after having an abortion is relief.

All of this points to Big Pro-Life’s intentions far beyond restricting access to mifepristone – which, in and of itself would be a horrific and gross overreach with devastating consequence. It shows Big Pro-Life’s premeditated drive toward the dangerous idea of fetal personhood, an idea which, if allowed to take hold, would decimate reproductive rights from abortion access to in-vitro fertilization to birth control.

Let’s fight back.

Sincerely,

Erin Matson

P.S. Every dollar helps fight the haters. Thanks so much for your support.
