John,

Today is the first day of North Carolinians Against Gun Violence’s 2023 Annual Campaign. Now more than ever, we need supporters to join us in this critical work to keep our communities safe from gun violence. Can we count on you with a gift today?

Mass shootings continue to plague communities across our country. Communities like Nasheville, TN or Louisville, KY will never be the same and families are forever impacted by gun violence. Yet, in the last few weeks the NC legislature has repealed one of our state’s key protections—the Pistol Permitting System—making it easier for individuals to gain access to a handgun without a background check.

We need you to join us in this continued fight against gun violence with a gift to NCGV’s 2023 Annual Campaign today. Your gift to the Annual Campaign will allow us to remain on the ground at the General Assembly, rally supporters across our state in key districts, and organize for impact in new communities.

Give now to one of our two organizations, NCGV Action Fund or NCGV Education Fund, to be recognized as a 2023 Annual Campaign donor.

But it isn’t all bad news. Our long-term vision for safer communities allows key wins to also occur. Just last month North Carolina launched the first statewide Office of Violence Prevention in the South. For thirty years we have worked to hold public officials accountable to their constituents’ demands for safer communities to make wins like this possible.

Can we count on you to join us in this year’s Annual Campaign to allow us to achieve our long-term vision of communities safe from gun violence with a gift today?

You will be hearing from us in the coming weeks on the importance of this year’s Annual Campaign and why YOUR gift can make all the difference. We anticipate a long road ahead to protect our state from gun violence but know that progress is possible with committed supporters behind our work. We can’t do it without you! Give today!

Sincerely,
Becky Ceartas

P.S. Monthly gifts of $25 or more, or one-time gifts of $250 or more, are recognized as part of the Lisa Price Gun Violence Prevention Circle in memory of our founder, Lisa Price, and her dedication to gun violence prevention.
