** Executive Directors Update

With the summer quickly coming to a close, we are gearing up for a busy fall. One of the many things we are focusing our efforts on is to reboot our ground game. We want to provide field training and assistance for our grassroots efforts and precinct leaders who are critical for us to be successful at the ballot box. It is our responsibility to ensure that our dedicated volunteers and activists have the needed resources so we can have the most impact this next election cycle.

We are also working hard to develop a top tier data infrastructure operation for the Kansas Republican Party. President Trump’s historical win could not have happened without his strong digital operation. We want to grow and build a data operation that our 2020 Republican candidates can fully utilize for their field efforts.

These are just a couple of the things we are working on now in preparation for the upcoming 2020 election. As always, I look forward to traveling the state in the coming months and hope to meet our hardworking Kansas Republicans.

This week the RNC Summer Meeting is happening in Charlotte, North Carolina. Charlotte will be the host city for the 2020 Republican National Convention.

** Pro-Life Kansas License Plate

Thanks to Representative Trevor Jacobs (R- Fort Scott), Christians for Life, Inc. and Concerned Women for America, Kansans can finally pre-order the new “Choose LIFE” license plate. In order for the Department of Revenue to begin production of the specialty license plate, 1,000 plates must be pre-ordered at a cost of $40 before January 1, 2020.

** Congratulations Rep. Newland!

Congratulations to Joe Newland who was elected this weekend to replace House Rep. Larry Hibbard of Toronto who recently retired from the Kansas Legislature. Representative Newland has served on the Kansas Farm Bureau board since 2011 representing farmers in Allen, Bourbon, Cherokee, Crawford, Labette, Linn, Montgomery, Neosho, Wilson and Woodson counties.
