The GOP has shown its hand in Tennessee.

When given the opportunity, they’re not just content with gerrymandering the maps to keep themselves in power, they’ll also silence their opposition if they say anything, they don’t like.

This is what played out in Tennessee last week.

It was racist, it was anti-democratic, and it is what they want to do across the country.

In short, it’s another GOP step toward fascism¹.

This is just the first step. We must be ready to confront it at every level and in every race. Step up today and donate to help us fight back every time, everywhere.

The heart of American democracy is protecting the rights of minority voices to be heard – whether they are ideological, racial, or any other minority.

In Tennessee, we saw the GOP expel minority voices they didn’t like.

In Florida, the same thing is playing out. This time, DeSantis didn’t like Disney standing up for LGBTQ+ rights in Florida, and as doing his best to punish them.

This will keep happening if we don’t fight back now.
