Jack, sign the petition to the U.S. Senate: Investigate Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas for improper luxury trips.

For over twenty years, Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas has accepted luxury trips virtually every year from Texas billionaire and Republican megadonor Harlan Crow.

This has included taking cruises on Crow's superyacht, flying on his Bombadier Global 5000 jet and staying at Crow's ranch in East Texas and private retreat in the Adirondacks.

Thomas has not denied these trips, but claims he was not required to disclose them. Many legal experts disagree, because the Ethics in Government Act (passed after Watergate) requires that Supreme Court justices and other federal officials report most gifts to the public.

The Senate Judiciary Committee must investigate whether any government ethics rules were violated, but more questions remain: Did Thomas and Crow violate any tax laws as well?

Did Thomas report any of these gifts as income on his tax returns? And did Harlan Crow fill out a Form 709 with the I.R.S. if the value of these gifts exceeded $15,000 in a given year?

As the U.S. Supreme Court ruled over Donald Trump's tax returns, Congress can access the tax returns of any American individual if they have a legitimate purpose. Now, the Senate Finance Committee must subpoena the tax returns of Clarence Thomas and Harlan Crow.
