Hi, John, it's Barbara – and I wanted to take a moment to thank you so much for being a part of this grassroots team.

For decades now, I've fought to secure real progress for people both in California and beyond. From working to address homelessness and put an end to poverty to championing LGBTQ+ rights two decades before Obergefell v. Hodges was passed down, I'm incredibly proud of all the fights I've won for our communities – and I'm excited to share these with you too.

That's why my team and I created this digital photo album of my journey from my childhood in the segregated South all the way to the U.S. Capitol – and I would be honored if you took a moment to flip through it.

Throughout my album, I've explained not only what I've accomplished but why, so you can truly understand what drives my fight for progress, justice and equity.
