John,
Last year, there were 647 mass shootings.
Last year, over 20,000 people died because of gun violence.
Last year, the NRA spent $13.3 million to elect mouthpiece politicians to office.
But it’s Americans who are paying the most. We’ve witnessed two high-profile mass shootings in the past two weeks and that’s merely a fraction of the mass shootings that have already happened this year.
Five people were killed in a mass shooting at a bank in Louisville, KY, on Monday.
The gun lobby spent nearly $1.8 million to elect their choice politicians to office in Kentucky including at least:
$1,283,515 to elect Sen. Mitch McConnell
$395,910 to elect Sen. Rand Paul
$50,094 to elect Rep. Andy Barr
$49,267 to elect Rep. Thomas Massie
Nine people – three of them 9-year-olds – were killed in a mass shooting at a school in Nashville, TN, two weeks ago.
The gun lobby spent nearly $1.5 million to elect their choice politicians to office in Tennessee, including at least:
$1,306,130 to elect Sen. Marsha Blackburn
$29,400 to elect Sen. Bill Hagerty
$48,050 to elect Rep. Scott Desjarlais
$40,260 to elect Rep. Tim Burchett (after the shooting, he said “we’re not gonna fix it”)

The gun lobby isn’t just funding Second Amendment extremist politicians and policies, they’re funding murder.
That’s why Brady is fighting them at every turn: We are pushing common-sense gun safety bills through state legislators and fighting permitless carry laws. We’re informing the moves the White House is making to address gun violence while Congress fails to. And come next year, we’ll be fighting tooth and nail to help elect lawmakers who will choose the American people over gun lobby bribery.
The bottom line is that if we are going to overcome gun lobby death money to finally save lives, we need your help, John . After tragedies in Louisville, Nashville, and far more cities that didn’t make the headlines, we’re asking you to take action: Will you donate whatever amount you can, right now, and fuel our fight to overcome the gun lobby and save lives?
