The Corsicana & Navarro County Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a political forum for the upcoming City and School Elections on May 6, 2023. The forum will be held Thursday April 13 starting at 6:00 pm at the Corsicana Government Center Council Chambers, 200 North 12th Street, in downtown Corsicana - with live-streaming provided by the Chamber of Commerce.

APRIL 2023

On March 20, 2023, the Republican Party of Navarro County Executive Committee endorsed Mike Fletcher for City of Corsicana Mayor. Then, on March 30, given his character, conservative positions i.e. reduce property taxes and support law enforcement), and past voting record -- the Republican Party of Texas also endorsed Mike Fletcher.

We must attend the Mayoral Forum, to submit questions to Mike Fletcher's strengths. Questions must be submitted before the event. They have a lot of questions submitted already. Colleen Cox and Kathy Wood of the Chamber will serve as runners, to collect questions submitted by the audience. Those questions will be vetted by the Legislative Committee then passed to the moderators Steve Keathley and Thomas Headen representing the Navarro County Bar Association.

Mike Fletcher's vision for Corsicana is:
ATTRACT -- Corsicana should be the best community to open a business. We need to continue creating the most business friendly environment in Texas with low taxes, more streamlined processes, and great city services.
PROMOTE -- Our unique history, attractions, and amnesties are what make Corsicana an amazing community. Corsicana should be the best place to raise a family and invest in a career.
INVEST -- Our public infrastructure needs immediate attention, as well as a long-term plan. We need to fill vacancies, retain great employees, and provide the right tools to get the job done.

As store manager at the Corsicana HEB for 20 years, Mike Fletcher has managed a team of more than 200 partners and a budget larger than the City of Corsicana. The other two candidates are radical leftists.

Mike needs volunteers to block walk on Saturday April 22. This is an incredibly important election -- citizens need to know what is at stake.

We will meet at 9:15 am on Saturday April 22 at Colin Street Bakery, 401 West Seventh Avenue, to review talking pointsand hand-out walk lists. We will meet for lunch at 1:00 pm (location TBD) and continue block walking until 5:30.

We need everyone whom is able to participate -- whether for a few hours or the entire day -- so that we can ensure Corsicana elects a conservative Republican to lead ur city.
