Dear Friend,
I hope you had a happy Easter with family and friends. It was a pleasure to be back in Rankin County to celebrate this important time with my wife, Haley, and our two sons, Kennedy and Patton.
Congress is currently not in session, but I've been at work in the Third District meeting with constituents to learn about the issues important to our state.
Last week, we held an open house at our new office in Starkville. Kyle Jordan has been manning the office in Starkville for over a decade and he has done a great job serving the people of Mississippi. We are excited to be in a new location downtown at The Hub. If you need help, please stop by any of our offices across the district. You can find addresses at the bottom of this email.
My staff and I were honored to visit St. Catherine’s Village today to provide an update on the work we are doing in D.C. and the district.
I also visited the The Magnolia Speech School — an institution giving young students with hearing or speech impairments the tools to be successful. I look forward to working with this organization and all of our schools to ensure that every Mississippian is given the opportunity to succeed.
We are continuing to reach out to constituents through our community outreach days and we hope you can join us when we are in your area.
Academy Day
This month, I will host my annual Military Academy Day for any student interested in joining one of the five Service Academies:
Military Academies, also known as Service Academies, provide a unique opportunity for Mississippi's best and brightest to pursue post-secondary education. The Academies are highly selective, and applicants must receive a nomination from either a U.S. Representative or Senator. If you know someone who is interested in joining one of these prestigious institutions, encourage them to attend Academy Day to speak with representatives, midshipmen, cadets, and alumni of the Service Academies. You can also find more information about the application process on my website.
