On July 1, Florida will become the 26th state to allow permitless conceal and carry for firearms. You read that correctly, now more than half the U.S. allows weapons to be carried in public without a permit.

It is mind-boggling that this legislation was signed into law amid the senseless gun violence we’ve seen this year, and yet Republicans like Ron DeSantis and his buddies in Congress seem to be more moved by political agendas than by senseless deaths from gun violence.
