Dear John, We are revving for the last stretch. Today we're just five days away from our final countdown — 30 days until Election Day on May 16th. And we need your help to make this final month count. We're canvassing across Philly to get the word out to every corner of the city – that I'm at the top of the ballot and running for a reason: I'm ready to be Philly’s City Controller and fight for the working people who live here. Our team is building a coalition of Philly voters who will lead us to victory on Election Day — we’re targeting city voters from all walks of life, and we’ve found supporters with so many different backgrounds and experiences — and the response has been so amazing! Philly is united — it’s time our city budget started to work for working people. But funding this kind of grassroots organizing requires support from everyone reading this email. If we don’t raise $28,000 more before this Sunday, we simply won’t have the budget we need for the final month of this race. And that will be devastating to our chances. Even printing door knockers is expensive...it can cost $6.35 just to print ONE. That’s why we are asking you to sponsor our next round of campaign printing. Even if you could pitch in to fund just one. >> Right now, can you pitch in $6.35 to sponsor one door knocker? >> Could you sponsor a pack of 10 for $62? >> Or, can you sponsor more...! This final stretch is by far our most crucial time in this race. That’s why I need everyone in our movement to step up and help me meet this goal before the Sunday midnight deadline. DONATE NOW I’ve put up my savings in this race because I've refused to take corporate PAC money and we've declined checks from CEOs. But right now, our campaign could come up short if we don't all pitch in. Even one more door knocker helps in a race like mine. In solidarity, Alexandra Hunt, MS, MPH, ACRP-CP Democrat for Philly City Controller Contribute   We're an entirely people powered campaign— our budget comes from the generosity of supporters just like you, giving to our campaign after reading emails just like this one. Your support is what makes Team Hunt possible. Please, can you support Alexandra's campaign to be Philly's progressive City Controller by making a donation now? CONTRIBUTE   Alexandra Hunt is a public health researcher, a girls’ soccer coach, an advocate for social, racial, economic, and environmental justice, and a community organizer. She's the daughter of two teachers and a sister to a twin brother with a learning disability. Seeing the systemic obstacles her brother faced inspired Alexandra to become an advocate and challenge barriers on the basis of race, gender, class, and ability. Now, Alexandra's running to be the Philly's next City Controller because the people in Philly work too hard for too little. And right now, line items in budgets create lines for food and health care. It's time to elect a City Controller who is going to prioritize the needs of the communities Philly's money comes from.
