Budget Hearings Update

This is the last week of budget hearings! We will hear from the Department of Human Services, Department of Labor and Industry, Department of Revenue, and Department of Community and Economic Development plus SERS & PSERS and the Public Utility Commission. These hearings continue to prove insightful perspectives as we examine the successes of last year and see where additional support is needed. The public is always invited to watch along at pahouse.com/live.

After we wrap up the hearings on Friday, this Committee will continue to meet over the course of the next two months to review what we heard and build a commonsense budget that works for PA families. Senior Fair

Next week is my 2023 Senior Fair! Join me on April 20 at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center, Hall D to learn about senior programs and services available to you. Representatives from federal, state, and county agencies plus local organizations and non-profits will be on hand including U.S. Senator Casey’s Office, U.S. Rep. Madeleine Dean’s Office, PENNIE, PA Department of Human Services, Montgomery County’s Treasurer, Recorder of Deeds, Prothonotary and MORE!

Khair Community Center Visit

Last week my colleague state Rep. Melissa Shusterman and I were invited to visit the new Khair Community Center in Oaks.

This brand-new facility, designed for inclusivity, will help to promote community engagement through their educational, recreational, and social programs. Thank you for welcoming me!
